When you’re setting up a car repair shop, or a body workshop, one of the things you should be looking out for are curtain walls. They are a great piece of equipment that allow you to easily make a part of your shop into a designated space for some of the potentially messier parts of your business, like spray painting. These curtains are easier to install than it is to make walls, and they will help contain paint, fumes and noises in a single area.
When buying curtain walls, there are some things you should keep in mind if you want to be sure you’ll end up with a high-quality product. First, you need to look for curtain walls that are easy to install. In fact, you should be able to install the curtain walls yourself, and everything that surpasses your handiwork abilities might not be the best choice.
As for the quality of the curtains themselves, you want to look for curtains that are heat resistant, fire resistant, and chemical resistant. The curtains you end up buying should be able to withstand anything your work environment could throw at them. That includes both high and low temperatures - you don’t want your curtains to melt or crack because of the heat or cold. It also includes all the chemicals, including paint, that may end up on the curtains - you don’t want them to react in any way. And although you won’t be actively trying to burn them down, a workshop is a place where open flame is routinely used - think blowtorches - so some degree of fire resistance is desirable, if not even mandated by health and safety regulations.
Of course, you can get curtain walls in different sizes and colors. Still, no matter how long they are, and which color fits your workshop best, you should always make sure you get high quality curtains. Even if they are a bit more expensive, you’ll end up saving money on them because they will last longer than low quality ones, not to mentioned they will improve safety in your workshop. On the bottom line, that’s what matters the most.
